After 17 years working in or running agencies, Dave had the idea for Cavalry after experiencing first hand how difficult it was to find new freelancers when his trusted go to contractors were busy or already working on projects for him.

Dave started Cavalry in December 2016 and oversees all facets of the business, though focuses significantly on growth and marketing.

Now as founder of a freelance marketplace start up, Dave has also grown a strong appreciation and empathy towards the profession of freelancing. Since Cavalry was born, he has also learnt a great deal about freelancing from many Freelancer in-depth interviews as well seeing macro trends that are emerging through the use of the Cavalry platform.
