Daniel is CEO of RateSetter, the only peer-to-peer lending company in Australia that is licensed by ASIC to accept investments from retail investors, not just the wealthy. RateSetter’s online marketplace lets people lend and borrow money directly and by cutting out traditional middlemen both savers and borrowers can get better rates.
Daniel has led the expansion of the company’s local shareholder base to include Carsales, opening up the opportunity for P2P lending to play a meaningful role in the car finance market and ensuring its longer term structural relevance.
Prior to leading RateSetter in Australia, Daniel was a director of the investment banking division of Barclays Capital and advised on billions of dollars of mergers and acquisitions at NM Rothschild. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) in Economics and a Master of Business (with Distinction) in Finance.
