Dane Davis, Nikola's Chief Technology Officer, oversees control teams including vehicle, body, battery, ADAS and human interface systems. He also oversees the Functional Safety activities and requirements management activities.
Prior to Nikola, Dane Davis was co-founder and CTO of Stored Energy Solutions which developed and produced parallel Hydraulic Hybrid solutions. Transmissions were developed and sold into the Class 8 trucking industry. He lead controls activities and all mechanical engineering activities. Dane has also held many lead engineering roles in a variety of markets including commercial trucking, off road vehicles, construction equipment, and heavy duty specialty equipment. Dane's focus has been on integrating technology into industries that have been reluctant or slow to change.
Dane has 14 years of Engineering experience and is a proud graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
