Corey Gutch began his career in technology in 1996 at Adobe Systems, and continues to consult on web, strategy and UX. In 2007 he partnered with Michael Ellsworth to co-found the creative agency Civilization. Civilization believes in design as a means of social change, and are passionate about communicating the greater social, cultural and environmental value of their projects. As Principal and Interactive Director, Corey guides the team at Civilization on exploring ways to solve technology needs for clients focused on cause, culture and community such as NBBJ, The World Economic Forum, and AIGA.
Corey has been the lead instructor of Web Design at the University of Washington and NCAD, a technical reviewer of titles from Packt Publishing, and in the top 200 contributors in the Adobe Community.
Corey is an Adobe Certified Expert who specializes in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, LAMP application development, Wordpress, Drupal, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Graphic Design, UX design, Accessibility, and Typography.
