Claudia de Piante Vicin
Design Director, Artists For Humanity (AFH)
Claudia de Piante Vicin is the Design Director at Artists For Humanity (AFH), a nonprofit youth development organization that provides productive and life-changing opportunities for young people through paid employment in art and design. In 25 years, AFH has become the largest onsite employer of Boston teens, with 250 employed annually.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London, she has spent a larger part of her career teaching design and providing companies such as P&G, John Hancock Financial, Barnes & Noble, and Reebok with design solutions. Specializing in brand development, she approaches her work non-traditionally and focuses more on how to tell the story and provide utility to ensure a universally authentic end result.
Born in Miami, by the age of 14, Claudia had lived in 5 countries, on 3 continents, and spoke 4 languages fluently. When not designing or teaching, she can be found at the library, traveling, and collecting random pieces of knowledge.
She lives in Cambridge with her partner, their dog Vito, surrounded by too many books.
