Chris Xu is currently a data scientist at Thrive Market, and has a passion for using machine learning to solve real-world problems. Previously, he worked at Tradesy as a data scientist. He has worked on recommender systems, convolutional neural networks for image recognition, natural language processing, clustering for customer segmentation, and fraud prediction. Chris graduated from Harvard with a degree in Applied Mathematics with a focus in Economics and Computer Science. One fun fact about Chris is that during a summer in college, he lived in various hostels around Madrid writing a travel guide for Spain for the travel company Let's Go Inc.
