Chris Paynter is a software developer turned Creative Technologist, currently working with Deepend in Melbourne. His work at Deepend has won numerous awards domestically and has also received global recognition as a 2016 Webby Awards honouree.
In the past, Chris has founded a share housing startup, marketed music at what was the world's largest independent record label, overseen user experience testing at a major telecommunications company, spent time learning in digital agencies in the UK and Europe, as well as many other diverse experiences which he says has contributed to his love of “getting out of the building and seeing how the world works”.
Chris now primarily focuses on the intersection of people, design, technology and business strategy, and the creation of work that packs measurable impact and value. A strong believer in the power of people, he is passionate about helping teams and leaders develop creative environments that harness new and existing technologies and thrive in uncertainty, a topic which he is currently authoring his first book on.
