Chetan Nandakumar
Chetan is a UC Berkeley PhD in Computer Vision and Human Visual Perception. As a PhD student, he used data science and machine learning techniques to understand how the visual cortex makes sense of the world and how we can use these insights to build better computer vision algorithms.
As a graduate student, he co-founded an AI-startup called Modista (www.modista.com), that used computer vision for apparel search and discovery. His other passion is teaching. He won the best GSI (graduate student instructor) award during his graduate degree and he is a 3-time Data Science instructor at GA of both the full-time and part-time courses.
