Charlie is a lead User Experience Designer for Toast, a Boston-based restaurant technology company that recently raised $30 million in Series B funding from Google Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners.
Before Toast, Charlie worked at FlipKey, a vacation rental marketplace bought by TripAdvisor in 2013, working his way up from an hourly internship to team manager in under four years. In his management role, Charlie was exposed to a larger part of the business and found a passion for user stories and design.
Charlie made the transition from sales to design professional in part via General Assembly’s 10-week User Experience Design Immersion program.
