Carrie McComb is director of People at WyzAnt, the nation’s leading tutoring marketplace. As head of human resources, Carrie manages recruiting, professional development and benefits for the Chicago organization’s more than 100-person team.
Prior to joining WyzAnt in early 2014, Carrie spent more than 10 years helping to recruit and build teams for some of Chicago’s most prolific technology organizations. Most recently, Carrie served as the lead tech recruiter at Braintree where she grew the product and technology teams fivefold. Before Braintree, Carrie was the first technical recruiter at Groupon, helping to scale the Chicago office through its record-breaking period of growth and establish the company’s San Francisco office.
Carrie started her career at ThoughtWorks, recruiting technical candidates for both national and international roles.
Carrie holds a BA from New York’s Saint Lawrence University.
