Senior Manager, Technology Philanthropy, Salesforce.org

San Francisco

Carmen Dowell is the Senior Manager of Technology Philanthropy at Salesforce.org. After moving to the Bay Area from Houston, where she grew up and attended the University of Houston (go, Coogs!), Carmen started her career in tech, including her first encounter with Salesforce. She quickly grew disillusioned with the lack of purpose she felt working for the tech companies, and turned her part-time volunteering into her full time career in fundraising and development at Holy Family Day Home, an early childhood education and family services organization in the Mission District.

Despite feeling a great sense of pride in the mission of HFDH, Carmen jumped at the opportunity to join the Salesforce.org team as an Account Executive in 2015. After two and a half years of selling top of class technology to small but mighty nonprofit organizations, she pivoted to the Customer Success Team to launch and manage the Tech Grant Program.

When not working or volunteering, Carmen enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog cooking, hiking, fly fishing, and generally enjoying the Bay Area and beyond.
