Carleton Smith

Data Science Immersive Instructor, General Assembly

Chicago

Carleton Smith is a proud machine learning nerd. Before completing his Predictive Analytics degree from DePaul University, Carleton drifted from one unsatisfying sales job to another within the insurance and technology industries. Since discovering his passion for machine learning, Carleton has worked as a Data Analyst for the fintech firm, Envestnet, and as a Visual Informatics Researcher at DePaul University. Carleton is an avid Indiana University basketball fan (Go Hoosiers!) and enjoys running, morning coffee, and spending time with his 7 year old puppy.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Carleton has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program. Additionally, Carleton serves on the General Assembly Data Science Advisory Board.
