Co-Founder, CreativeMornings Austin
Ben Thoma is a creative catalyst.
He co-founded the Austin chapter of CreativeMornings, a monthly speaker series over breakfast tacos and coffee dedicated to inspiring and supporting the creative community. He serves as host and lead organizer for the series' team of volunteers. In 2016, he led the team that hosted the CreativeMornings Organizer Summit—a 3-day conference where hosts from over 80 cities around the world came together to learn more about building their respective creative communities.
Ben’s day job is Creative Production Coordinator for Spredfast's marketing team, where he facilitates the creative process, project management, and department collaboration. Previously, he spent 10 years as an Art Director and Creative Director for advertising agencies in New York and Austin. Some of his more notable work includes a cover for TIME magazine, ground-breaking digital campaigns for Volvo, and an open letter for Lufthansa that garnered $1MM in free press.
His community-building experience stems from deep volunteer involvement in organizations like Appalachia Service Project and Scouts BSA.
