Data Analytics Instructor, General Assembly
Ben Collins is a freelance data consultant, helping businesses better understand their data through analytical insights and visualizations, including dashboards. He works primarily with SQL and Excel. Prior to this, he worked for over 7 years as a specialist Forensic Accountant, most recently for law firm Clifford Chance. Whilst there he worked on large-scale, international projects involving breach of sanctions regulations, using SQL and Excel to conduct reviews of transactional, financial and customer data. He is a Mathematics graduate of the University of Warwick in the UK and moved to the US in 2010. He now lives in Virginia with his wife and newborn son, and is a keen cyclist and mountain adventure fanatic.
