When Jodhi Meares had the idea to launch a new lifestyle brand, her long time friend and work colleague, Ashlea Holdsworth, was the first person that came to mind to help realise this dream.
Ashlea began her career interning at Tigerlily Swimwear after completing degrees in Graphic Design & New Media, and an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design. She soon rose up the ranks to Designer, and spent a successful 5 years with Tigerlily.
After one quick meeting, Ashlea and Jodhi found themselves pulling together the concept for THE UPSIDE and without a moments hesitation, Ashlea was drawing up the sketches for THE UPSIDE’s Summer 13’ range.
THE UPSIDE continues to evolve through each collection. Every single piece is fully considered to fit into all aspects of the active lifestyle. Ashlea reinforces that each season is proving more substantial and relevant, and although THE UPSIDE has yoga at it’s core, the brand understands performance.
"We want to make women feel comfortable in their own skin. We don’t want this brand to be intimidating to any woman, but all-inclusive. This is a label that caters to being the best version of yourself and we work hard to promote that ideal for all types of women, without discriminating."
