Anthony Sossong, M.D., M.S. is a Harvard Medical School based physician, with a background in cognitive neuroscience and clinical training in pediatrics and psychiatry. Prior to his medical training, he worked in Silicon Valley as a software engineer, ultimately founding and operating a software consulting firm specializing in development and maintenance of dynamic, data-driven e-commerce web applications for over 30 high-profile companies.
Dr. Sossong is the Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Brain Power LLC. Brain Power is a technology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts focused on the application of pioneering neuroscience with the latest in wearable technology, in particular Google Glass. Brain Power has devised a range of Google Glass compatible software and hardware solutions aimed at helping children who have an autism spectrum disorder, a condition that affects 1 in 68 American children. Brain Power has developed a unique software suite, the "Empowered Brain," that aims to help children with their social skills, language, and positive behaviors. The software contains powerful data collection and analytic tools allowing for customized feedback for the child, and production of quantitative reports on their social behaviors.
