A fourth-generation Coloradan, Anne is an avid adventurer and ecological steward. She is also a passionate educator, committed to social and environmental justice, and keen to address the inequities she sees in education, recreation, and the environment through reform, technology, and leadership.

Anne is an accomplished education leader and journalist, having contributed award-winning material to print and broadcast media outlets around the world. She particularly loves writing about science, technology, adventure, and education. And, she has worked in the education landscape for 25 years in instructional and leadership roles. Most recently, she was an Expedition School Director, Principal, and School Designer. She has also been an Executive Director in the nonprofit sector, and she is currently the Founder and CEO of GO Learning Expeditions, a start-up aimed at helping students and teachers leverage quality instruction, place-based and experiential learning, and national education standards so students avoid learning lapses caused by school closures or diminishing in-person instruction opportunities.

A life-long learner and explorer, Anne completed a Bachelor's degree in Geology and Environmental Studies from Oberlin College and a Master's degree in journalism with emphases in science and environmental writing from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is also a licensed secondary science teacher, a 20-year Outward Bound veteran, a competitive Master’s swimmer, and a fierce advocate for women and girls in adventure and technology.
