Austin
Anna Bourland is a Senior Product Manager at uShip, where she works on strategy, user research and problem solving associated with the current overhaul of the company’s core product. Anna graduated from the University of Texas and has spent the decade since working in and around the Austin tech community, first as a business analyst in the world of public sector consulting. She then held several product-related roles at Whole Foods Market, where she managed enterprise system roll-outs, ran eComm and point-of-sale experiments and owned the backlog of the company’s perishables purchasing and distribution application. Prior to uShip, Anna worked for Macmillan New Ventures, overseeing the integration of MNV’s portfolio of educational technology startups.
Anna’s favorite part of her job is studying, getting to know and identifying with users in an effort to build products that solve problems. She values the excitement and fulfillment that comes from growing and collaborating with great teams. She is an evangelist of experimentation and loves to talk about the build/measure/learn loop.
When she’s not working, Anna spends her time hunting for vintage furniture, eating cheese, loving on her 9 year old chocolate lab Cedar and geeking out on how many personal projects she can manage in Trello.
