Angela Patterson

Angela Patterson has spent the last seven years working with data at SHI Int’l Corp, first as a data analyst and now as a data scientist. She also recently completed her Masters of Science in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University. Currently, she works with sales data on projects such as reducing customer churn and identifying customers with similar spending habits. She came to the field of data science indirectly, first through accounting, then information technology, systems analysis, but always with special projects hooking different data sources together. As she worked with SHI’s sales data, she discovered a burning passion for uncovering why things happen and which events interact to influence outcomes. To her, data science blends all the things that are fun about work.
