Andy Friedman
Andy Friedman is a data journalist and data scientist based in Brooklyn, New York. A graduate of the General Assembly's Data Science Immersive program, he works as an Instructional Associate for Data Science for General Assembly's courses in New York and Riyadh. With a Biology degree from Washington University in St. Louis, he first became interested in data science while working at a lab at New York University which used computational genomics. However, he then stepped away to pursue a career as a musician and a writer. As a DJ, he planned and promoted over 200 events and played some 500 gigs in three countries. He also regularly writes for sites such as Noisey and FACT.
