ANDREW SMITH, Sales Engineer at Klaviyo, founder of FriendsUp graduated from Northeastern University, in Boston, MA with a degree in Computer Engineering where he learned through rigorous workloads, how to program and create scalable and durable software. After working as a Software Engineer for multiple companies, and becoming the Co-Founder and CTO for FriendsUp, a mobile application company, he moved onto Sales Engineering.
Currently, Andrew has multiple years of experience in Sales Engineering at companies like IBM, Oracle, and now Klaviyo. Specializing in Python, JavaScript, and React, he focuses on landing key accounts and helping develop complex integrations for them that not only work at scale, but are also reproducible. He is based in Boston, MA where he currently works at Klaviyo, and teaches part time as an industry specialist at General Assembly.
