A business owner and entrepreneur with almost two decades' experience, Andrea's knowledge and know-how spans not only industries and concepts, but also the globe. From branding, communications, media and publishing; to the worlds of distribution, logistics and dot.coms - Andrea's professional footprint is broad, yet detailed. She is a vibrant and authentic leader who inspires by example and is not afraid to make the tough decisions needed to propel a business to the next level.
Andrea's passion is in helping people make better choices through powerful and authentic employer branding and employee engagement. If people are empowered to make the right decisions about where they work and who they work for, the outcomes are better for everyone. No matter the business nature or size, the question Andrea asks is always the same – "Are your people connected to your purpose?" When people feel connected to the business, both will thrive. And it's this passion for thriving workplaces and cultures that gets her out of bed every morning.
Andrea understands the discipline required to succeed, having a strong athletic background including 15 years playing rugby union, water polo and rowing surf boats on Sydney's Northern Beaches. It is this unique combination of leadership, authenticity and real-world experience that informs Andrea's holistic view for building incredible workplace cultures where people can thrive inside and outside work hours.
Born and raised in Edmonton Canada, Andrea now resides in Sydney. But she hasn't forgotten where she came from - she loves fishing, the outdoors and strives to be in bare feet whenever possible. Yet she is equally at home amongst the big city lights - a true citizen of the world. A fire breather in the 2000 Sydney Olympics opening ceremony, Andrea's burning desire to create thriving workplaces is something she lives and literally breathes.
