Andre started his career in typical conventional style Graduating from a University and then working. University of Melbourne, was the institution, and two degrees came out of this time. A double degree in Mechanical Engineer and Mathematics and Statistics. Upon graduating in 2010, he worked as a Mechanical Engineer for 5 years in Oil and Gas Industry. During the 5 years he worked on an oil rig, in a corporate engineering consultancy and as an engineering contractor in remote Queensland delivering energy projects for Exxon Mobil and Santos.
Then came the change.
In late 2014 Andre attended General Assembly's WDI full time course. WDI allowed him to get his first job at a startup, noyelling.com.au, working as a Web Developer.
After 3 months, he then moved into his current role as Associate DevOps Engineer for Base2Service where he builds software tools for clients like the Iconic, Carsales, Kogan and Just Cars to help them scale through automated managed deployment.
