Amit Thakkar is the Founder and CEO of LawMaker, the first civilian lobbying platform that gives Americans a real opportunity to crowdsource new policy ideas and engage their elected officials to advocate for political change. Prior to founding LawMaker, Amit spent ten years as a political consultant focused on coalition building, large scale advocacy operations, and political campaigning for a wide breadth of organizations. His advocacy expertise includes environmental protection, green tech, LGBTQ rights, micro-finance, affordable housing, and education policy. He started his career as a lobbyist and campaign strategist and was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs.
