    Founder, The Tech Recruiter Conference

    Denver

Alison Lawrence Daley is a facilitator, trainer, user researcher and former tech recruiter. Having spent the first ten years of her career in tech recruiting, Alison made the pivot into user research in 2015. Her skillset found a new home, and like a duck to water found herself speaking with hundreds of users to uncover their needs, goals and motivations as they related to the products she was supporting.

It wasn’t long into the user research experience that Alison identified several research methods that would greatly benefit recruiters with their work. Taking these ideas and iterating them out, Alison launched the Tech Recruiter Conference in February 2017. Attendees to the conference were given a deep dive into the 5 pillars of software development from the lens of user research: contextual thinking and interviewing, journey mapping of roles and talent personas. Alison was thrilled to create an avenue that combined her two professional passions: user research and tech recruiting.

Alison is a Colorado native and has lived in three countries. She is a co-organizer for Ladies That UX Denver chapter, a co-organizer for the Develop Denver Conference and the organizer of the monthly tech recruiter meetup. She enjoys networking, creating and connecting with folks from diverse backgrounds.
