Alison Cies serves as Facebook’s Politics & Government Specialist for EMEA. She trains and advises politicians, political parties, and government organizations on the intersection of elections, politics, citizen engagement, and digital diplomacy on Facebook. Alison brings a deep understanding of data science and its application to the public sector. She trained at Oxford’s Internet Institute and Blavatnik School of Government. Alison has been selected for a U.S. Fulbright Grant and the Network of Excellence in Internet Science Summer School. A New York Native, Alison graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan University and received her MSc and MPP from Balliol College, University of Oxford. She resides in London.
