Alexis Davis is a connector, speaker, and social media educator with a penchant for creating communities wherever she goes. Since her first post-college job at a tech startup in Washington D.C., Alexis has boldly created new opportunities for herself — and this is what her work is all about.
Alexis’ lifelong obsession with technology and love of forging connections drew her naturally to social media. As the Founder and Principal of The Content Plug, a social media consulting firm dedicated to helping high-profile individuals, small businesses and start-ups, and non-profit organizations boost their online presence and grow their businesses through social media. The Andy Roddick Foundation, BlackPeopleMeet, and the NCAA Final Four are among her roster of social media clients, and she has spoken at SXSW, Social Media Week, and Creatives Meet Business, among many other venues. She loves sharing her knowledge and conducting interactive workshops to teach others how to expand their networks, grow their reach, and leverage social media platforms to amplify their message.
Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Now based in Austin, Texas, Alexis enjoys the spoils of the city when she’s not hard at work: running along the hike and bike trail, taking photos around town, and trying out the macaroni and cheese (her favorite!) at the latest restaurant with friends. Alexis believes that opportunities aren’t discovered, they’re created, and she finds true joy in creating opportunities with social media every day.
