Alex McCarthy

Alex McCarthy has worked in product management, software development, marketing and sales roles. He has worked with companies ranging from early-stage startups to global publicly-traded companies – such as Trilogy, National Instruments, Polycom and STMicroelectronics. Alex has expertise in oil and gas, semiconductor, unified voice/video/data communications, measurement and automation, Internet of Things (IoT), online B2B applications and professional consulting services. He built successful product management and marketing teams for embedded hardware, enterprise software and web application solutions.
Coming from a long line of teachers, he is passionate about education. He has mentored in public schools, served on private school boards, PTO organizations, homeschooling committees and training programs. He achieved a long-time professional goal by recently founding Navigate Next – dedicated to helping leaders navigate from the careers they have to careers where they are passionate and engaged.
In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Alex has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
