Adam Jackson is a technology entrepreneur obsessed with creating beautiful and easy to use products for both mobile and desktop web interfaces.
He is currently CEO and cofounder of Doctor On Demand, a healthcare service that provides Video Visits with boardcertified physicians and psychologists via smartphones, tablets, and computers. Patients simply download the Doctor On Demand app on a smartphone or tablet or visit www.doctorondemand.com on their computer, provide a list of their symptoms, and are instantly connected to a provider licensed in their state for a video visit. Doctor On Demand delivers services to millions of patients through employers, health systems, health plans, and directly to consumers.
His previous business, DriverSide (founded in 2007), served thousands of automotive dealerships and repair facilities by helping them retain existing and
gain new customers through a suite of SaaS offerings. It was acquired by Advance Auto Parts (AAP) in September of 2011.
His first venturebacked business, MarketSquare (founded in 2004), was the first online local shopping destinations on the Internet. In 2005 it was acquired by StepUp Commerce, a similar service, which was subsequently acquired by Intuit (INTU) in September of 2006.
Over the past 10 years, he has also been an active angel investor and advisor to over 2 dozen companies, most of which have had successful exits or have done significant follow-on financing.
Adam began his career as a software engineer and architect and holds a computer science degree from Vanderbilt University.
