General Assembly Chicago invites you to join us for our monthly Women in Tech Breakfast series featuring women in tech and entrepreneurship to provide insight on how they reached their level of success, advice on navigating the workplace, and how we can help the next generation of women in tech succeed.
Join us for lightning talks by a handful of incredible women in the Chicago tech and entrepreneurship scene. We will take a deeper dive into the issues women face in the tech industry and find solutions to how we can rise above the obstacles and thrive in this growing field.

Bridget McMullan is the co-founder and partner of Upfront Work, a product management consultancy that supports companies of all sizes and industries to bring structure, scale and speed to products and teams. She has more than 10 years experience providing Fortune 500 companies with product development solutions.
Bridget is passionately driven to help clients build products and services customers need, achieve sustainable growth and develop thriving teams. She writes thought leadership articles for Mind the Product, develops blog posts highlighting female leaders in product and teaches product-project management and agile-scrum courses at General Assembly in Chicago.
Bridget received her product design and development masters from Northwestern University and holds a bachelors degree in design from Temple University. In her spare time, she enjoys mentoring startups at 1871, MATTER and The Garage at Northwestern.

Mel McSherry is an International Business Development Coach and Speaker. She predominantly works with women business owners who are exhausted and overwhelmed by what they think they need to do in order to be successful. She helps them slash their stress by showing them how to prioritize their profits, their time, and themselves correctly so they can create the money, the business, and the life they want, fast!
As an entrepreneur since 2010, Mel has launched two successful businesses, tripled her annual income, become an Amazon Best Selling author, and created a true life by design, all while raising an eight year old son. She has worked with thousands of people helping them get crystal clear on what they want and prioritizing the time that they have so they can create the success they desire, as well as the free time to enjoy it.
Challin runs internal and external communications and marketing at Avionos. She has created marketing strategies for startups and Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries including manufacturing, transportation, martech, and professional services. She has mentored TechStars and Startup Institute cohorts, and is the PR Chair for Women Tech Founders.
When she’s not driving brand awareness and consideration for Avionos, she is on a road trip, building furniture, or hanging with her dog Yadi.
