    About this event

The lack of womxn working in technology is a well-documented problem and one that’s been slow to improve. But the lack of diversity in artificial intelligence, a burgeoning space that’s been called one of humanity’s most significant advancements, presents a compounded problem, impacting both the way society views and treats womxn and the ease with which new perspectives can enter the field.

An increasing number of technologists are bucking this trend, building machine learning algorithms and organizations that prioritize ethics and fairness. And the growing need for specialized social science skills could be a boon to womxn looking to enter the space. RSVP to join us and Trix magazine for their first special report that examines the forces (part human, part machine) that created an artificial intelligence industry dominated by "sameness.” We'll explore the risks and opportunities that algorithmic bias poses to economic and social equity and profile the innovators who are pioneering approaches to more inclusive practices.
