About this event

This summer the Boston Public Library will open its doors to General Assembly on the 4th Thursday of each month. We will host some of our most popular classes at the Central Library’s Commonwealth Salon - from Web Development to Social Media - to give you the practical, hands-on training you need to pursue work you love.

Thinking of learning to code, but getting lost in the alphabet soup (AJAX, PHP, CSS, etc)? Whether you're interested in building your own web sites and applications, or looking to change careers, this class will introduce you to the world of web development (and programming in general). We'll take a dive into specific programming languages, tools and real life examples. We'll also discuss what you need to get started as a web developer, as well as how you can break into this dynamic field.
