About this workshop series

All proceeds from this Workshop will go to https://techbikers.com/. General Assembly supports Room to Read and Tech Bikers.

Are you a creative or entrepreneur who wishes to speak tech with your web development team? Or maybe you wish you could code a bit yourself?

This two part workshop series is designed to help non-programmers get started with coding. We'll start off by tackling the essential coding principles to help get you on the right path—looking at how the web works, explaining the difference between front-end and back-end, and breaking down the functions of the various languages you need to get started with web development.

Once we've covered those, the class will be broken down into three sections, each devoted to the languages you need—and will be using—to build a web page. We'll look at the differences between HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and write lines of code in those languages to build webpages.

By the end of both sessions, you'll have designed your own site and gotten it live on the web.

Also feel great that all proceeds from this Workshop will go to https://techbikers.com/. General Assembly supports Room to Read and Tech Bikers.
