About this event

Individuals from all backgrounds, fields and ages are looking for meaningful opportunities to connect to place, their peers and their community. Companies across industries, sizes and locales are working to establish a social focus and deepen partnerships with community organizations. And yet, among this increased desire, 54% of nonprofits will not be able to meet the demand for their services this year.

So, where is the disconnect?

For individuals, it is likely the “missed connection:” the fact that the individual who wanted to give their time or talent, and the community partner who had a particular need for their skill, simply never met. For companies, it is likely the unsexy cousin of social change: project management. Project management doesn’t make or break your entire social vision, but solid project management can help ensure quality results.

Join us for a panel discussion that addresses both the missed connection and project management dilemma.

Taproot Foundation, LinkedIn For Good and VolunteerMatch will discuss the missed connection and the beast of project management respectively within their fields. Each will introduce a technological solution they created to help people and community partners find each other and ensure quality, impactful partnerships.

Refreshments and light food will be provided.
