About this workshop

Ever wonder how UX design firms combine organisation goals, user experience methods and the latest technology to design an omni-channel service that users actually want to use? This workshop shares practical techniques that would help you brainstorm a useful solution that cater to end users from the beginning to the end of their user journey.

Service design is the interdisciplinary practice of creating great services through research, ideation and testing. Designing services becomes increasingly prevalent and relevant today for several reasons:

  • 1) From the business perspective, our world continuously moves from product-centric industries to service-based economies
  • 2) From the user's perspective, we spend more and more time on digital channels and expect services to smoothly transition between online and offline
  • 3) Technological advances such as location-aware devices, internet of things, and virtual reality can bring services to a whole new level of user experience

Takeaways

  • Learn user experience design methods such as interviews, personas and user journey
  • Learn how to find market gaps and opportunities for a useful service
  • Learn how to design an omni-channel service that captures users' wants and needs at all touch-points
