Python Fundamentals Workshop Series | September 6

Python has quickly grown into one of the most popular, easy-to-read, flexible, and beginner-friendly object-oriented programming languages. Start writing basic syntax with Python scripts that store and manipulate data in the form of variables, for a more powerful, customisable Python programming experience. Use dictionaries and lists to format and organise information; use conditionals and loops to allow your programs to make intelligent, logic-driven decisions; use functions to organise code according to the problems they solve and start taking on code challenges to build your programming skills.

This 2-part Python Fundamentals Workshop is the interactive and hands-on way to get started on exploring and visualising your data. You will dive head first into Python, skill up with exercises, and by the end of the day you'll have a handle on data analysis, automating business tasks, and web development.

• Use the Jupyter Notebook application to create and run Python programs.
• Understand fundamental Python programming language syntax.
• Distinguish between a data type and structure in Python.
• Write Python language scripts that use conditionals and loops.
• Use Python functions to encapsulate problem-solving logic.
• Begin building Python skills through code challenges.

• This workshop is for beginners. No prior knowledge or experience required.

• You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
• This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
• Class setup information will be emailed to all students when you sign up and 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
• Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket.

I'm a Senior Insights Analyst with 14+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science , Advanced Analytics in Banking, Telecom and IT domain.

I started off as a Software Engineer but my inquisitiveness towards numbers led me to the path of Data Science which in turn, has made me analyze each problem like a short story in itself.

My previous experience includes (but not limited to) Automation in Python, Data Analyst and Advanced Analytics roles in organizations like Westpac, Servian, Intel, Alcatel Lucent, Sasken , HCL etc. I love to travel and have explored 23 countries including driving on the "Highest Motorable Road in the World". Other than getting to know different people , cultures, way of life, my love for travelling have made me highly adaptable and creative which have definitely had a positive influence on my personal and professional life.
