Q: Why has Python quickly grown into one of the most popular programming languages?
A: It's an easy-to-read, flexible, and beginner-friendly object-oriented programming language.
The fundamentals — you will learn them in our Python bootcamp!
Start writing basic syntax with Python scripts that store and manipulate data in the form of variables, for a more powerful, customisable Python programming experience; use dictionaries and lists to format and organise information; use conditionals and loops to allow your programs to make intelligent, logic-driven decisions; use functions to organise code according to the problems they solve and start taking on code challenges to build your programming skills.
Whether you want to use this Python course for data analysis, automating business tasks, or web development, this one-day bootcamp will equip you with the fundamental Python programming concepts that form the building blocks of every Python program. Discover why Python is a global tech language of love.
Download & install Anaconda before class.
NOTE: this session will not be recorded, however, slides will be sent within 7 days following the class.
Curiosity and enquiry has helped Jesús (better known as J) follow a winding path that has passed from physics, chemistry, finance, analytics and even data journalism. He obtained a PhD at Imperial College for work on quantum atom optics and has worked in academic and research posts for Imperial College London and the University of Hertfordshire, as well as for organisations such as IBM Data Science Studio, Prudential and Dow Jones. He has published a number of academic papers and is the author of a couple of books including "Data Science and Analytics with Python".
When not working you can find Jesús tuned into sci-fi films (good and bad), watching rugby, trying to improve his running times, or writing bits and pieces for his blog.
