About this event

Bob Baxley PhD, the Chief Engineer at Bastille, will cover three aspects of an Entity Resolution (ER) project done in partnership with Anidata and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office to combat Human Trafficking in Atlanta.

Learn about Entity Resolution (ER) in the context of web scraping on the dark web, and its application to combat human trafficking. The presentation will demonstrate how Anidata collected data using a python web scraper behind a Tor proxy and how data science is used to conduct ER via unsupervised network clustering. Data science and technology terms will be covered so whether you are a data newbie or pro come and learn about how data heroes are solving problems and protecting the innocent in your back yard.

Our speaker, Bob Baxley PhD, is the Chief Engineer at Bastille, where he helps build systems to sift through massive amounts of radio frequency data. He joined Bastille in 2014 shortly after the company was founded and leads the Data Science and Signal Processing teams.
