About this workshop

React.js is proving itself to be an ideal tool for speedy DOM manipulation. On its own, it is fairly simple to pick up, but once you start incorporating Flux and react-router to build full-scale apps, things tend to get a bit more complicated. This workshop is designed to clear up the confusion of building a React app as well as leave you with a toolset to scale upon.

Prereqs & Preparation

  • Intermediate. Participants are assumed to have experience with writing basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • You should be comfortable looking at HTML & JavaScript source code and making changes to existing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Required Materials/software: Laptop (MacBook/Linux recommended), text editor (i.e. Sublime Text).
