Programming with Python Fundamentals | One-day Workshop
About This Workshop
In this seven-hour workshop, you’ll get hands-on practice learning to code with this year’s most in-demand language, Python.
We’ll start with the basics like navigating a code editor and creating basic Python programs, then learn to use Python for things like storing and manipulating data in lists and dictionaries, creating conditional statements and writing code to complete repetitive tasks.
Once you’ve got the basics down, we’ll move on to using Python for data analysis with custom functions and using the csv module. And, most importantly, you’ll get practice with navigating common Python errors and debugging your code.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll be confident with the basics of Python programming and have a solid foundation to keep building on. You might even be inspired to pursue a software engineering career with your new skills.

- This workshop is for beginners. No prior knowledge or experience required.
- Each individual participant must have purchased a seat in this workshop.
- Look out for an email one day before, and one hour before the workshop begins with the Zoom link. If you don’t see the email, please reach out to help@ga.co and we’ll get you set up ASAP.
- You’ll need a Replit account. If you don’t have one already, sign up for a free Replit account before the workshop starts.
- There is no certificate for completing this workshop.

I started off as a Software Engineer but my inquisitiveness towards numbers led me to the path of Data Science which in turn, has made me analyze each problem like a short story in itself.
My previous experience includes (but not limited to) Automation in Python, Data Analyst and Advanced Analytics roles in organizations like Westpac, Servian, Intel, Alcatel Lucent, Sasken , HCL etc. I love to travel and have explored 23 countries including driving on the "Highest Motorable Road in the World". Other than getting to know different people , cultures, way of life, my love for travelling have made me highly adaptable and creative which have definitely had a positive influence on my personal and professional life.
