About this workshop

You’re full of ideas, but how do you know which are worth pursuing? Enter product management. Discover the basics of product development, product strategy, the product life cycle, and many more fundamental product management concepts in this course.

You’ll learn how to conduct market research, apply best practices when analyzing user interviewers, and explore how PMs prioritize features for users and how the different types of minimum viable products (MVPs) can guide you to continued success. Products are constantly evolving, even after they’ve launched. It’s critical that product owners and product managers be able to measure their progress so that they can continue improving it.

This 6-hour Product Management 1-Day Fundamentals Workshop is the interactive and hands-on way to begin your product zmanagement journey. You will dive head first into various product management tools, skill up with exercises, and by the end of the day you’ll know how to head in the right direction quickly and efficiently using design thinking and product management strategies.


  • Explore product management and career trajectory of product managers.
  • Explain the purpose and process of building an MVP and determining product/market fit.
  • Develop problem statements and hypotheses in real-world business scenarios.
  • Craft questions for and conduct user interviews to validate hypotheses and gain insight into customer experience.
  • Use affinity mapping methodologies to gain insights into user problems or needs when developing a product.
  • Translate hypotheses into product features.
  • Define success for a product using the language of product management metrics, identifying the right metrics and KPIs and the tools you can use to track them.

Prereqs & Preparation

  • This workshop is for beginners. No prior knowledge or experience required.
  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
  • This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
  • Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
  • Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket.

  • If this class is recorded, students will be sent the recording link within 7 days after class completion by email. Students are encouraged to download and save shared materials (worksheets, deck if applicable) during class for later reference, as they are not shared via email.
