How does your product team juggle innovation, iterative changes and all the operational considerations that come with modern SaaS platforms? In this talk, Rajesh explains how the Vision-Led Product Management framework he and his co-founder Ben Foster created can help.

Every product team is juggling several priorities at once. Rajesh and Ben boiled it down to 3 roadmap categories:

Innovation - progress towards the long-term vision (ex new features) Iteration - tweaks to the existing product (ex conversion funnel optimizations) Operation - the cost of operating a modern SaaS platform (ex tech debt)

In this talk, Rajesh will explain how making a top-down allocation decision on how much time to spend on each of the 3 categories can help the team align on the product roadmap and give the product team the option to prioritize changes within each category so that they don’t have to compare apples to oranges (ex a new feature vs a usability issue vs a bug). He’ll also discuss how to decide how much of your product development capacity should go into each category based on the product life cycle stage.
