About this class

People love to stress about negotiations. "I'll just work hard and they'll pay me what I deserve eventually, right?" Wrong. But, if you understand the basic building blocks of the process, there's no reason to fret. Believe it or not, once you get the hang of it negotiating can actually be fun.

This class offers clear guidance touching on (a.) pre-interview prep, (b.) interview practice tips, (c.) the single interviewing mindset to rule them all, and (d.) additional strategies to succeed by default, no matter the interview curveballs you encounter. In this class we'll cover: key principles to quickly understand 80% of what you'll encounter, specific preparation guidance, and how to think about stock options and other unique-to-tech topics. We'll also let volunteers practice live with real negotiation prompts.
