The arts and cultural scene in Singapore was booming in the year before the global pandemic, with an all-time-high record number of Singaporeans attending events and concerts in 2019. The industry, however, is among those that got hit hard by COVID-19.
Not all hope is lost. Digital has become the new frontier for the arts as artists explore new possibilities to adapt to this new normal and continue pursuing the work they love.
If you are an aspiring performing artist, part of the community or simply an ardent supporter of the performing arts then do join our panel of local artists for this honest and insightful discussion on the ever evolving performing arts industry in Singapore.
Hear first-hand accounts of what it is like to be an artist in Singapore, how they chose this path for themselves, and what the close-knit community looks like. Additionally, understand how the industry has been impacted by the pandemic and what are some of the resources or helping hands available during this phase as we all eagerly wait for the tide to turn.
