About this workshop

Self-awareness has long been recognized as one of the most important traits for leaders to develop. By understanding our own motivations, values and desires, we are better equipped to lead others, make healthy decisions and form healthy relationships. In this workshop, join nonprofit sector leader and speaker Laura DeMaria to delve into what self-awareness is and why it matters, along with practical tools to grow in self-knowledge.

Questions to answer:

  • Why is it important to “know thyself” - what are the benefits, personally and professionally?
  • Why do strong leaders demonstrate self-awareness?
  • How will self-knowledge help me effectively communicate my mission and brand?

In addition to covering these questions we’ll learn to incorporate practices into daily life that lead to increased self-awareness, including journaling and writing, learning to recognize and live one’s chosen values, the practice of self-questioning, and meditation/the examination of conscience.

This workshop is perfect for people early in their careers, new to a leadership position, or those simply desirous of better getting to know themselves in order to be more effective teammates, partners, and friends, at home and in the workplace.

It makes a great gift for yourself, a loved one, or a colleague in the new year!
