Mobile apps have become a staple in everyday life. There are over 1.5 million apps in the app store and Apple has sold more than $10B dollars in apps since the first iPhone launched. Knowing how to build simple apps can help bring your ideas to life, and knowing how to build them using Swift, Apple's programming language, lets you bring those ideas to life quickly and easily. This weekend bootcamp will start the path for your own self learning or give you direction for hiring a stellar developer.
This bootcamp is aimed at beginners. A big focus will be on using storyboards to build an app prototype. Students will have minimal programming experience, and the course will introduce programming in the context of solving small problems. This course is great for designers and entrepreneurs who want to dive into mobile application development.
Finally, you'll leave the bootcamp having built a simple iOS app from scratch, equipped with the resources and key skills needed to continue to learn and grow as an iOS developer.
Please bring a Mac laptop with Xcode installed (free, available on App Store at https://developer.apple.com/xcode/download/)
No prior knowledge required, but programming experience can be useful.
