New York City is a melting pot of communities of thinkers and makers. Our “Intro to the ‘X’ Community” event series will give you the inside scoop as well as the tips and tricks you need to break into the respective community.
This week we tackle 3D printing, which seems to be everywhere, yet there are still few consolidated resources that give designers the confidence to begin using it in their design practice. Shapeways Designer Evangelist, Lauren Slowik, will take you on an in-depth tour of the 3D design ecosystem.
There are countless strategies, applications, materials, processes and tools available to designers. This workshop will give an introduction to all aspects of the 3D design space and you will leave with foundational skills to incorporate 3D design and printing into your practice.
