About This Workshop Series

This workshop will be hosted online (Livestream) due to safety considerations, please check out the "Preparation" section on the bottom of this page. Registered participants will be notified in advance of this program with information on how to log in to the workshop.

Python is a versatile and widely-used programming language with many applications. This workshop explores Python's place in the scientific ecosystem, and how the language, with several readily-available open-source libraries, can serve as a powerful tool for data analysis. Designed as a stand-alone introduction to the data science aspects of Python, this class is also a recommended refresher for students planning to enrol in General Assembly's upcoming Data Science course. This workshop is hands-on and exercise based, so students will get plenty of practice.

Students must bring a laptop with Anaconda pre-installed. Make sure you select to download Python 3.5 or 3.6 Graphical Installer (not Python 2.7).
