Whether you’re a novice techie, an entrepreneur, or just an Android phone owner, in this class you’ll learn all about the basic building blocks of making an Android App.
-Learn how Android apps work with the Android operating system -Getting started with Android Studio -Basic Android design guidelines -What tools are needed to start Android development
-Basic understanding of Java (can attend without Java knowledge, but it will help understanding and what you can do after) -Basic understanding of XML
Please bring a laptop with: - The most up to date version of Android Studio: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html this can take some time to download/setup but is pretty straightforward. Students will need to make sure to handle this before they get into the classroom - The most up to date version of Java (Android Studio will prompt you to a download page if you don’t have it) - Android Emulator set-up via Android Studio or an Android phone
