Originally designed for software development, Scrum is becoming one of the most popular ways to organize a project today. In this class, we'll define Agile and Scrum and explore the rise of Agile and how Scrum fits within the Agile principles. Using real world examples and a practice exercise, we'll then review how Scrum works and what makes Scrum so powerful for delivering higher quality products in much less time and with happier teams. This workshops is a great introduction to Scrum and how to apply Scrum methods to your project to get better results!
This is a class for beginners and/or those with some experience of Scrum. Students may wish (but are not required) to read the Scrum Guide at scrumguides.org and the Agile Manifesto at agilemanifesto.org.
What to bring to class: Students should bring their own bring a laptop or writing materials to take notes with.

Jimmy works at Grab as the Head of Go to Market and Inside Sales, driving the enterprise business growth across Southeast Asia. His work allows him to be at the intersection of technology and business: from understanding market data, designing sales narratives or automating sales and marketing processes. From building a start-up to strategy consulting, his experiences have allowed him to handle complex Go to Market challenges in emerging markets. Relationships matter to him, and as a trusted adviser to business leaders, his passion is to help them develop a deeper understanding of how to drive their products or increase adoption of their services. By making sense of how digital transformation impacts their businesses, Jimmy thrives on developing practical strategies to address their challenges.
